Sreemangal, located at the northeastern side of the Bangladesh in the Sylhet district is the tea capital of Bangladesh. This hilly area carpeted with ever green tea estates, lemon groves and pineapple gardens, a scenic beauty waiting to thrill your eyes. Here you will see flowing river of green tea plantation as far as your eyes could see. A large portion of world’s highest quality tea is grown and exported from Sreemangal. So when you here don’t forget to take a sip from the local famous tea made with world’s finest tea leaves. Also indulge yourself in the tea especially the famous 7-layer tea. Sreemangal is more than the eyes can meet and it is also world famous for nature, forests and wildlife Lawachara Rain Forest where more than 400 different wild-life species roam around notably deer, wild chicken, squirrel, python, endangered hoolock gibbons, capped languor, slow loris, birds, snakes, banana spiders etc. There are few tribal community groups also living in Sreemangal area. They practice their own culture, food habit, costume and language. Therefore, this area is wrapped in green tea estate and colored with beautiful wildlife instantly inspire unspoken peace and tranquility that pulls people closer to the region.
Highlights
Day 01: You will be picked up from your hotel in Dhaka and transferred to Train station to catch your morning train at 6:40am towards Sylhet and you will reach Srimongal around 11:30am. Transferred to cottage/hotel for check in and freshen up. After lunch, you shall visit rubber garden, Monipuri & Khasia tribal villages and enjoy the sundown with the famous 07 layers tea. Overnight at Srimangal.
Day 02: After breakfast, take a scenic drive through tea gardens, pineapple gardens to Madhapur Lake, a popular place for both local and international visitors. On the way back you might visit a village to see the daily life style of the tea gardens worker. You shall have local lunch at a convenient place. and then drive to Baikka Bill (Wetland/Haor). This enriched wetland sanctuary is the heaven of many types of birds and engendered species. You will find millions of water lily bloomed during late monsoon season. Many migratory birds are spotted during winter and thus it has become a popular place for nature lovers and photographers. There is a watch tower to see the birds eye view of the area. You shall return to your resort in the late afternoon for overnight stay.
Day 03: Very early in the morning you will transferred to visit the Lawachhora National Park, the semi-evergreen tropical rain-forest. The park is very significant for its massive bio-diversity. You may have a 1.5 hours trail to explore the forest and spot some rare wildlife species, especially Hoolock Gibbons, different types of spiders, lizards and birds. You shall return to your cottage to check out and after a late lunch catch your train to Dhaka. Eventually you shall reach Dhaka by 10:o0pm. Transfer to your hotel/staying place It is predicted that you will get back with your unique experience.
