Message from CEO

“Christopher Columbus could have stayed home, but he decided to sail.” Back in 2008, out of passion I chose to be an English-Speaking Tour Guide with the then best tourism company of Bangladesh. Consequently, I started guiding tourists from all over the world in the all touristic destinations of Bangladesh for several consecutive years.

By getting connected with different tourists of different cultures I never got bored even by paying visit to the same place again and again. I enjoy sharing knowledge and become an avid learner from each guest. I have guided more than thousand tourists coming from different corners of the world; Alaska to New Zealand & Chile to Japan as well as Norway to South Africa. I could see the world hearing stories from my global guests, in return they could hear stories of my own country, Bangladesh. Therefore, my passion becomes my profession and I am enjoying it a lot. I do what I love to do. I try my best to ensure Genuine Travel Experience of my guests while guiding in Bangladesh.

My two years post graduation program in World Heritage Studies from Germany gave me immense opportunity on global learning and I visited several European countries. Later, being a young consultant, I traveled to Kingdom of Bahrain and wrote the Visitor Management Chapter of a UNESCO World Heritage Site,  Qalat-Al-Bahrain. My gratitude to BMZ and EU to grant me the scholarship to be a consultant to develop CSR report of Zerafshan Tourism Development Association funded by Welthungerhilfe. There, I closely worked with the mountainous communities of Tajikistan and developed the community based eco-tourism supply chain model. Despite having the opportunity to stay in Europe, I decided to be back in Bangladesh to bring my knowledge.

Consequently, I have returned with sound knowledge on community based Eco Tourism, World Heritage management, tangible and intangible cultural heritage and climate change adaptation. Therefore, I had an international paper presentation at Martin Luther University of Halle-Wittenberg, on “The prospect of Sustainable Tourism in Sundarbans”. Lastly, I have worked for USAID’s Bengal Tiger Conservation Activity in Sundarbans for 03 years and supported field activities of Penthera Wildlife Trust – UK, also assisted Awely’s Wildlife and People documentary on Tiger Victim & Tiger Widow, telecast in TF1, France. I am an avid photographer and had 02 exhibitions in Hessen & Berlin, Germany. I was lucky to be 1st prize winner of a photo competition “40 years of German Bangladesh friendship” organized by German Embassy, Dhaka & BGCCI.

Therefore, Dhaka City Tours is a new tourism initiative with the essence of my 12 years diverse experiences and travelling 18 countries. I am trying to bridge the gaps of existing tourism in Bangladesh. We do arrange all types of customized package tours on demand. Abid has an experience of working more than 7 years in tourism sector of Bangladesh. He accomplished his MBA in Marketing from the Dhaka University and attended numerous short course and seminars on holistic strategy in global service sector. He is an expert on Digital Marketing too. His long experience on guiding will ensure you to have an extremely delighted experience while you are travelling Bangladesh.

Logistics Coordinator

Reza is experienced in arranging all required logistics in arranging the package tour. He is an young engineer but his main interest is on travelling and arranging quality logistics.
