During the Mughal era Dhaka became the center of Muslim trade in South Asia and was regarded as one of the most prosperous cities in the Indian Subcontinent. Thus Dhaka is packed with magnificent Mughal architectures including gardens, tombs, mosques, palaces and forts. Under the British Empire, Dhaka became an important administrative and educational center in Eastern Bengal and Assam. After British rule had ended, Dhaka became the capital of East Pakistan and finally in 1971 Dhaka was crowned as the capital of an independent Bangladesh. Our guide will meet and greet with you at your hotel/staying place/airport at 7:00am to welcome you with us for your amazing photography trip especially to explore most happening areas of mega-city Dhaka.
You shall visit the central train station, an interesting architecture, and find thousands of people coming from all over the country and leaving from Dhaka to other important cities of Bangladesh. Later, drive to the busiest place Kawran bazaar where all seasonal vegetables, fruits, fish are being sold. All the items are brought from different areas of Bangladesh by colorful trucks during mid-night to early morning. All the items are, then, bought by local vendors to distribute to all small markets of Dhaka city. Then, we shall have some light snacks with tea/coffee and drive to Old Dhaka. We shall take a short walk through Hindu street. This walk will lead you to the River front and then we will hire a local rowing boat to visit ship repairing-building manual workshops to see how hardworking people’s life could be! You shall hear the rhythmic sounds of hammers that turns into the drops of sweat of the workers.
After that, we will be heading back to your drop off point and on the way, you shall have some late light lunch. We shall return to your staying in the afternoon so you can take some rest after this unique experience.
