Chittagong is covered with numerous natural hill, beautiful landscape, natural lakes and river that are waiting to delight your eyes. Chittagong’s most visited places are in Rangamati, Bandarban and Khagrachari with natural cave and ever ending lush green forests.
Rangamati is a popular holiday destination for its green landscape, scenic beauty, indigenous museum and hanging bridge. Bandarban is also a popular tourist attraction with its eye-catching Buddhist temple, natural resort in Nilachol and waterfalls. Here in Chittagong you will also get to experience the culture of many different ethnic groups. Among them are Chakma, Marma, Trippera, Mru, Tankchangya, Chaks, Kumis, Kumi/Lushai, Khyang, Pankho, Bangoji, and Mrung. They have rich culture and customs with colorful festival and traditions filled with dancing and music. With its ethnic groups and hill tracts, Chittagong is bound to give a taste of a different Bangladesh unlike the other parts of the country.
Highlights
Day 01: You will be picked up from your hotel in Dhaka and transferred to Train station to catch your morning train at 7:45am to Chittagong and you will reach around 2:00pm. Transferred to Hotel for check in and freshen up. In the afternoon you shall visit 2nd World war cemetery and spend your evening at potenga sea port. Overnight at hotel.
Day 02: Early in the morning after your breakfast, drive to visit the local fish market, where tons of sea fish are unloaded from the fishing trawlers for wholesale. After spending an hour, continue drive to Chittagong Ship breaking yard to experience this controversial industry from outside by a local engine boat. Later, we shall take you to the market where you could buy some precious souvenir coming from those broken ships. You shall have lunch at a convenient place and continue drive to Rangamati hill town. On the way, you might visit a tribal market. In the afternoon, you will have chance to walk around the old bazaar and a cultural museum. Overnight at hotel.
Day 03: You shall have a local boat trip on Kaptai Lake and visit some island villages to know more about the culture and lifestyle of the people. Overnight at hotel.
Day 04: After breakfast, start driving towards Bandarban (Approximately 03.5 hours) and reach the hill town and visit Golden temple. Later check in to hillside resort. In the afternoon, trek down to scenic river Sangu and take a local boat to Bandarban. Overnight at resort.
Day 05: Enjoy your breakfast sitting on the restaurant while the sun is rising over the hills. After that, drive to the highest peak of Bandarban named Chimbuk to see the view later drive to Shailapropat waterfall (usually in the winter it is almost dry) and visit a Mro tribal market and their villages to see the lifestyle. Take a late lunch and drive back to Chittagong to catch your overnight train at 23:00 and reach Dhaka in the next early morning. Pick and drop to your hotel/staying place. Dhaka and it is predicted that we will get back with your unique experience.
